Rules of participation of the F.R.S.-FNRS to the « Individual Research Grants » call of the DFG (Germany)

In the particular case of a WEAVE in collaboration with a German partner (DFG), which has a standard duration of 3 years: the funding of the doctoral student may be extended for a fourth year, subject to the agreement of the F.R.S.-FNRS.
The request for extension must be submitted 6 months before the end of the project and must be accompanied by the positive opinion of the promoter and the Supervisory Panel (Thesis Advisory Committee). In this case, the final year of the thesis will be paid for by the F.R.S.-FNRS.

Application

  • Information on submitting to the DFG
  • Administrative filing via e-space : French-speaking Belgian participants who apply for WEAVE funding by participating in the DFG INDIVIDUAL RESEARCH GRANTS call must submit an administrative proposal via e-space to the F.R.S.-FNRS within 7 days following the deadline to the DFG. Select the WEAVE-DFG funding instrument to create the request.
